Job Title : Deployment Planner

Job Location : Salt Lake City UT

Pay Rate : $38.22 per hour

Duration : 6 Months (Can be extended long-term for up to 3 years)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Distribution Center Operations:
• Release planned orders and manage exception messages.
• Maintain master data, item attributes, and update reason codes for excess and obsolete inventory.
• Manage End-of-Life (EOL) products.
• Analyze inventory levels and product demand to recommend safety stock levels.
• Maintain and manage master data and order modifiers for MPS planned items.
• Review internal sales orders and coordinate production priorities.
• Communicate late supply issues to demand planning.
• Make decisions on inventory deployment based on products and customer orders.
• Review DC contract/portal inventory and safety stock requirements.
• Provide feedback on forecast performance and make deployment and logistics decisions.
• Ensure accountability for performance KPIs, including past due orders, service levels, and inventory turns.
• Coordinate with site production planning for work order releases.
• Release internal orders and update estimated ship dates for distribution centers.
• Mitigate external sales order risks and update reason codes.
• Resolve material shortages, capacity constraints, and operational bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with site planning, purchasing, and marketing on operations, service KPIs, and product lifecycle.
• Interface with S&OP for supply planning and handle special assignments as needed.
  
  

Knowledge & Skills

Planning Strategies:

• Familiarity with MPS and various production planning strategies (e.g., run rate planning, make-to-order, make-to-stock).
• Knowledge of inventory planning strategies (e.g., safety stock, MIN/MAX, DOS, MOQ).
  
  

Education

Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a relevant field from an accredited institution.
  
  

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in Supply Chain management.
  
  

Certifications

• APICS certification preferred.
  
  

Skills

• Experience with MPS and inventory management in a distribution center setting.
  
  

Work Environment

Conditions

• Predominantly sedentary role within a professional office environment using standard office equipment.
• Travel required less than 5% of the time.
