Salary Range: $72,000.00/Hr. - $91,500.00/Hr.

Working under minimal supervision of the Sr Director, Microsoft COE referring only exceptional problems and issues for management review or approval, the Sr Program Manager, MS COE executes campaigns to increase the adoption and consumption of assigned software products and solutions to drive measurable revenue and profitability for Connection. Other responsibilities include program development and execution across multiple sales subsidiaries to drive key partner and Connection objectives with the goal of driving growth in revenue. The Sr Program Manager works with internal (Sales, Sales Management, Product Management, TSG and Finance) and external vendor resources to align objectives, to formulate goals and to produce results. Program support includes strategic assessment of program and repositioning as necessary, implementing process improvement initiatives to create efficiencies and executing ancillary actions to simplify selling to enable Account Managers to produce sales to capture the software market. The Sr Program Manager accomplishes this by cultivating strong relationships alongside the assigned Partner Development Specialist (PDS) with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management organizations to ensure repeatable end-to-end solutions are successfully executed.
Responsibilities:
  • Develops, implements and executes program strategies to support and drive the sales growth objectives for Software in conjunction with our sales leadership. Teams with assigned PDS to communicate pipeline and share forecasts with sales and Software COE Leadership.
  • Executes vendor MDF (Market Development Funds) plans for rapid time-to-market, motivating sales for optimum results. Works directly with Marketing to ensure all plans are being executed.
  • Helps maintain vendor pipeline and communicates points of light and areas of opportunity to Software COE leadership and Sales management. Effectively communicates all marketing programs and initiatives within the Software Product Management team as well as the vendor’s customer success team.
  • Ownership of educating the Account Managers and presales teams on Software products and programs, including technical training and providing program overviews. Develops, manages, and executes sales enablement plans, incentive programs and other activities.
  • Track, review, and report profitability of marketing programs and manages MDF Budget Tracker and marketing proof-of-execution claims.
  • Creates metrics outlining success of marketing programs.
  • Performs all other duties or special projects as assigned.
Requirements:

Required competencies:

  • Intermediate to advanced user skills for Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Skype, SharePoint).
  • Working knowledge of Webex with ability to participate and host virtual meetings.
  • Working knowledge of PowerPoint with ability to create and edit presentations.
  • Notebook, Yammer, and Skype experience is required.
  • Understanding of customer software purchasing behavior.
  • Working knowledge of customer service with ability to anticipate needs of customer.
  • Discreet with demonstrated ability to work in a confidential executive environment using good judgment while acting as an ambassador for the company.
  • Proven track record in vendor program management and strategy development.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability is required to effectively interact at all levels of management internally, with customers, and with Microsoft management and field sales.
  • Excellent written communication skills with ability to compose professional business communications via email, letter, and proposals.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to present professional presentations.
  • Detail oriented with item-by-item focus, meticulous attention to detail with ability to proofread for accuracy.
  • Organized state of mind with ability to document activities, anticipate problems, plan schedules and monitor performance according to priorities and deadlines.
  • Interpersonal skills with ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical with ability to draw conclusions from data, systematic and rational.
  • Adaptable with ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities.
  • Conceptual with ability to conceive mentally, formulate ideas, use imagination to achieve results.
  • Decisive with ability to make a prompt determination and substantiate decision if challenged.
  • Years of experience: 6-8 years.
  • Certifications, Licenses or Registrations required, if any: Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP 74-678) certification.
  • Degree requirements: Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
