General Summary:

The Associate Manager of Product Operations is responsible for leading a global team of entry level to experienced professionals focused on architecting and overseeing the end-to-end product delivery lifecycle, while defining business process standards and gaining alignment on product deliverables cross-functionally. This role supports the creation and maintenance of programs that drive partner value and enable partner engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results
  • Supervises support and/or professional level colleagues
  • Ensures policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders
  • Leads and prioritizes the daily activities of the team
  • Manages, mentors, and coaches to develop a collaborative and dynamic team
  • Coordinates cross-functional communication to align on initiatives and strategies to drive efficiency
  • Provides proactive visibility and communication of delivery targets, commitments, and progress
  • Provides performance management to staff with the aim of continuous improvement
  • Analyzes internal processes and finds ways to improve processes, recommending solutions to leadership to improve performance, team engagement, and operational efficiency
  • Provides metrics and reports on inefficiencies that are discovered
  • Establishes mechanisms to connect the Product & Engineering departments to the broader organization and ecosystem ensuring operational success, collaboration, and product throughput
  • Helps create and maintain a consistent Partner Engagement program and strategy to drive an interactive feedback loop from the business to the customers
  • Continuously architects and enhances a product data system to ensure that the entire organization uses it to the best of their ability, specifically around product quality, adoption, and future roadmaps
  • Reviews and analyzes standardized reporting mechanisms to develop repeatable ways to produce insights and actionable next steps that improve product adoption
  • Builds positive relationships with key stakeholders and leaders, understanding their pain points and driving next steps
  • Uses networking skills to ensure proactive alignment and transparency across departments and teams on product operations and delivery of strategic initiatives
  • Defines and articulates toolset use cases and integration across products to produce single source of truth systems

  • Professional presence suitable for interaction in meetings, in-person, or via email, as well as at internal and external facing events
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Strong time-management, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders 

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple projects, while maintaining high quality work
  • Highly collaborative, energetic team player with demonstrated ability to be flexible, diplomatic, persistent, and energetic
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, open to change, working in a fast-paced and fluid environment, and thrives on learning and acquiring deep expertise in our tools and processes • Superior problem solving and trouble-shooting skills with a proven ability to exercise sound judgment to solve complex issues, recognize business critical situations, and escalate as needed
  • Ability to define and continuously improve the product/business context and Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) processes
  • Strong understanding of managing product releases on SaaS platforms
  • Familiarity with software development and web-based applications
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodology, product and software development life cycle, and Atlassian Product Suite
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Preferred: Familiarity with databases, data analytics and SQL

Working Conditions:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent business experience
  •  3 years of relevant experience
  •  2 years of managerial experience
