Be a part of the newest luxury hotel in downtown LA, Conrad Los Angeles! As part of the highly anticipated billion-dollar project, The Grand LA, this will be the 7th Conrad Hotel in the U.S. and the 1st in California.
Located in the most exciting state-of-the-art development to come to DTLA, this luxurious 28-story hotel will have over 300 rooms, a spa, 16,000 square foot rooftop with a pool deck, 12,000 square feet of event space, and 4 food and beverage outlets. This includes a signature restaurant, outdoor restaurant, lobby bar, and in-room diningall in partnership with Chef Jose Andres' award-wining restaurant group, ThinkFoodGroup.

In this role as a Painter you will be responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service. Perform routine maintenance and repairs, schedule and perform preventative maintenance for all areas of the hotel. Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized maintenance shop and for the security of hotel inventory and assets such as tools, supplies, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
The ideal candidate will have basic experience in painting, maintenance trades, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC and carpentry preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. The ideal candidate must possess knowledge of all maintenance trades, including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and carpentry. Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment. Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools. Basic English language communication and mathematical skills in order to communicate with coworkers fully comprehend job assignments and perform accurate simple arithmetic functions.
What will I be doing?
- Responsible for painting the exterior and interior areas of projects.
- Execute pre-painting activities, including cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, and masking of adjacent surfaces prior to painting, papering, texturing, etc.
- Follow management’s instructions in maintaining an inventory of paint and supplies.
- Operates and maintains boilers, compressors, refrigeration equipment, generators, air-conditioning facilities and all equipment driven by steam, air, gas, water or any other power-developing energy.
- Patrols, inspects and maintains all mechanical, HVAC, electrical, piping and plumbing systems and Kitchen equipment to the end that the most economical and efficient results may be obtained.
- May perform repairs on toilet facilities, lights, fixtures, minor repairs on furniture and floors.
- Priority orders through urgent requests and established hotel area down times in order to minimize inconvenience to guests. Effectively interact with department managers as required.
- Respond to guest room calls as required.
- Complete any and all assigned preventative maintenance procedures.
- Other duties as requested and assigned.
- Adhere to hotel safety standards.
- Perform all duties as required in support to fire alarm response team.
