Develop and implement all facets of Process Safety Management (PSM) and Hazard Communications Standard (HCS) program in conjunction with plant and transmission managerial staff and employees. Accountable to assure that all covered chemical processes are maintained and operated in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.119, 29 CFR 1910.1200, and other recognized industry best practices.
Job Description
Knowledge: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, occupational safety or its applicable equivalent. Thorough knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations, EPA, OSHA and IOSHA.
Skills: Must be familiar with plant processes, chemistry, occupational safety and health, and program management. Good communication skills, verbal and written; must be able to access, retrieve and input data in computer; must be able to traverse a power plant environment; must qualify for and maintain the appropriate driver’s license as specified by the company.

Experience
At least 5 years’ experience working in EH&S or in a chemistry or engineering related field of power generation, chemical plant, oil refineries or related industries. Experience with the implementation of PSM systems, leading PHA studies, conducting root cause analysis, auditing PSM systems, loss prevention, and risk assessments desired.
