Major Duties
Classification: Exempt, Non-Bargaining
Manages small technical function or complex administrative unit or several smaller units. Working contacts are a mix of internal employees and will have some external contact with vendors and potential customers in performing job. Provides input for business unit budget and tracks variances.
Responsibilities
- Work with multiple internal teams on developing CCI’s MDU build strategy.
- Working with engineering and or outside vendors to identify the cost of building, the structured cabling and outside plant cable to the MDU and determine if this fits within CCIs cost parameters.
- Manage the installation of the OSP and structured cable installation, this could be either CCI associates or with contracted associates.
- Implements approved projects assuring adherence to budgets and schedules.
- Deliver high quality collaboration, communication and customer support.
- Management level responsible for planning, organizing, integrating, coordinating, and controlling the activities of a department and/or functional area.
- Accountable for results in terms of costs, budgets, operational goals, and employees.
- Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Solves a wide range of complex problems. Provides solutions to multiple business or technical issues that have organization-wide impact.
Qualifications
- Must have broad understanding of engineering practices, administration, safety, installation of structured and outside plant cabling.
- Understands management techniques with the ability to resolve employee relations issues, performance and rewards issues.
- Requires independent thinking. Demands full use and application of principles, theories, concepts and technologies.
- Individual must be competent in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with 6 years’ related experience, including 3 years’ managerial experience.
