Sales Trainee

Founded in 1957, Consolidated Electrical Distributors (CED) is a privately held nationwide wholesale supplier of electrical and lighting products with over 700 locations.

This entry-level position in Sales at our Green Bay location allows the successful candidate to learn the electrical wholesale business through experiencing every aspect of one of our “profit center” business units with a primary focus on sales.

Ideal for someone new to the electrical industry, this position has upward mobility with potential for outside sales and an opportunity to make a tangible impact on a growing business. During a 12-18 month training period, you will start with understanding our warehouse and logistics operations while learning the skills you need to greatly contribute to a growing business and take on increasing responsibility focused on inside/counter sales and operations.

We also offer a lucrative profit sharing program and other specific bonuses.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Inside Sales
• Counter Sales
• Customer Service
• Developing Product Knowledge
• Inventory Management
• Process Improvement
• Warehouse Operations
• Purchasing
• Accounting Operations
• Digital Initiatives (Customer Portal Maintenance, Mobile App, etc.)

Qualities of a Successful Candidate:

• Excellent communication skills (verbal/written)
• Willingness to take on a variety of tasks
• Entrepreneurial minded
• Desire to grow sales and maximize profitability
• Comfortable in a warehouse setting
• Strong leadership
• Sales experience preferred, but not required

Typical Work Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm
