Position Summary:
Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete LLP seeks to add a Financial Analyst to the Finance Department in our Atlanta, GA office. This position reports directly to the Controller and works closely with others on the Finance team. This position will be based in Atlanta, GA with a hybrid remote/in-office schedule.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc) taking into account company’s goals and financial standing
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly attorney, partner and EXCOM reports
- Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
- Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process
- Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models
- Identify trends, advise company and recommend actions to a CFO and Controller based on sound analysis
- Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data
- Quarterly analysis of balance sheet activity
- Reconcile fixed asset software to accounting software on a monthly basis
- Assist with yearend financial audit and tax returns
- Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field from an accredited college or university required
- Proven years of experience in financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis; hands-on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages
- Advanced proficiency with Excel spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications

- Be well-informed on current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market and business environments
- Possess strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable presenting financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interpret communications from a variety of sources and the ability to explain complex technical items to personnel in different capacities
- Ability to work independently and proactively to solve problems and accomplish goals
