Expected salary range of $141,300 to $157,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Promotes and supports the creation of policy, definition of processes, development of programs and deployment of procedures regarding fleet operations training programs. Assesses and evaluates the conduct of training activities at the sites including the review and implementation of plans to address gaps.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provides governance of the standardization and development of training programs in operations disciplines includes initial license training, reactor operator, senior reactor operator, nonlicensed operators, shift manager, shift technical advisor and simulator performance.
- Provides oversight of the standard training programs to ensure consistent implementation, consistent application of the systematic approach to training, sharing of lessons learned and implementation of best practices throughout the fleet.
- Oversees development of plans to address training areas for improvement based on observation of plant activities, review of station and external assessments, review of plant performance indicators, specific performance issues and peer group interactions.
- Oversees and/or supports station and fleet activities in the areas of business plan initiatives, project management, EP duties and special projects.
- Provide support and oversight of regulatory and accreditation needs, including pre 71111.11 self-assessments, comprehensive self-assessments, validating accreditation self-assessment reports, accreditaion team visit preparations and accreditation challenge boards.
- Coordinates peer/working groups in areas of cognizance and promotes teamwork and collaboration between training and the line departments.
- Performs supervisory duties for assigned personnel.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- BS/BA in a technical discipline or education/training.
- Previous or current senior reactor operator license or certification
- 10 years of professional supervisory/management experience with 3 years of professional supervisory/management experience in the implementation of training programs
- Experience on INPO accreditation or evaluation teams, benchmarking and peer assessment teams
- Knowledge of and experience with the systematic approach to training (SAT).
- Effective written and oral communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MS/MA in a technical discipline or education/training.
- Previous experience in site training accreditation renewal
- 10 years of multi-site professional supervisory/management experience with 3 years of professional supervisory/management experience in the implementation of training programs
- 5 years of instructional experience
- Substantial experience in leading teams from multiple organizations in accomplishing diverse tasks and assignments
