What You Will Do:
The User Interface (UI) Designer will be responsible for ensuring a delightful, innovative visual experience across our web-based and mobile software applications. They will work closely with other UI Designers, UX Designers, User Research, Product Managers, Product Owners and Developers to identify opportunities to improve existing user experience.
The UI Designer will consistently engage with the market to ensure Voice of the Customer is at the foundation of everything we do. This role requires a collaborative, innovative, hands-on problem solver.
Portfolio Review Required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Training and experience in visual design.
- Collaborate with fellow designers to ensure consistency across products.
- Articulate and present design decisions to internal stakeholders, elaborating on key design choices.
- Careful attention to details, pixel perfection and visual form.
- Apply patterns, standards, and components from a design system.
- Cross platform designing (Web, Android, iOS, Windows, MacOS).
- Responsive design (mobile, tablet, desktop)
- Passion for user centric design and development and about solving real user problems.
- Solves well scoped problems with some assistance.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- Bachelors in Graphic Design, or related field 2 years of experience and a solid portfolio
- 2 years’ experience in visual, user-interface design
- Experience blending UX with Agile development preferred
- Experience designing for web-based products and applications a plus
- Experience designing for mobile applications a plus
Essential Knowledge, Abilities, & Skills:
- Deep understanding of Lean UX / Design Thinking (ideation, prototyping, testing, design frameworks and concept visualization)

Demonstrated ability to develop innovative solutions with hands on experience with the following:
- Visual design - expertise
- Interaction design - expertise
- Information architecture - bonus
- Usability testing - bonus
- Ability to both operate independently as well as part of a larger team
- Ability to effectively negotiate conflict and persuade others on the merits of a design or other user experience solution.
- Ability to assess, prioritize, and make trade-offs against business, technical, and user constraints.
- Experience using Adobe Suite tools (e.g., XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc).
- Understanding of web analytics and A/B and multivariate interface testing.
- Understanding of HTML/CSS and responsive design techniques (no hands-on coding is required).
- Understanding of rapid prototyping tools, such as Adobe XD or InVision.
- Understanding of interactive or motion design.
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams will be helpful.
- Ability to quickly immerse into corporate culture and align with the priorities and needs.
- Professional humility and good sense of humor are also important.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the working day
