Position Summary
Responsible for operating belly dump trucks to transport dirt, aggregates, asphalt, and other materials and/or equipment to various job site locations. This will include securing product, loading and unloading product and cleaning the truck box. Abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Drives belly dump truck to destination applying commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle in difficult situations.
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed.
Inspects truck equipment and supplies for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
Check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.
Communicate and cooperate with dispatch regarding starting times, variable workload and shift ending times, while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations.
Maintains driver log according to DOT regulations.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and
- Previous driving experience; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to work according to seasonal and order demand schedule.
- Must be able to pull or lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Condition of Employment:
Candidate is required to meet the above qualifications, task frequency and PPE requirements.
