Continental Finance Company specializes in credit card options for those consumers with less than perfect credit. We are seeking a Product Manager to join our Operations team. 

 

The Product Manager is responsible for developing the strategy and execution plans that improve operations programs. In conjunction with our PMO, this individual is responsible for identifying organizational needs and implementing process improvements. We specialize in credit cards and lending to sub and near prime borrowers. Our operations maintain a customer-first mentality aimed to delight all our customers and clients, both internal and external. 

 

***CFC offers a hybrid work schedule which includes three (3) core days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two (2) remote workdays (Monday and Friday)***


Essential Functions 

  • Learn the current process for existing programs and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and executing to efficiency and optimization.
  • Collaborate with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product/project requirements.
  • Collaborate with a wide variety of people to identify and define customer needs, including PMO, IT, Leadership, and other stakeholders to develop the Program Vision, Roadmap, and Features required to meet these needs for assigned product line(s).   
  • Responsible for all stages and initiatives in handling multiple projects from origination to planning and implementation.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders, ensure the product/project requirements are understood, provide updates when needed/requested and manage any product backlog or change in prioritization based on changing requirements.
  • Develop functional documentation on current and proposed processes including process workflows, procedures, and business rules.
  • Subject matter expert on supported products, raise concerns and escalate any potential production issues with the products supported to Stakeholders as needed.


The ideal candidate will have the following: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • Experience with Agile, Iterative and Waterfall methods of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on large projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Work, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Knowledge of business management principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams and across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to frequently changing demands, re-prioritization of workload and high sense of urgency.
  • Ability to problem-solve, multi-task and quickly learn new skills, technologies, and business processes.
  • Project Management experience a plus.
  • Credit Card banking experience a plus.
