THE POSITION
Continental Engineering Services (CES) is seeking a Engineering Supervisor to lead development activities for Interior products within the Continental portfolio.
Core Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of engineers in the following disciplines: systems, test, hardware, and software
• Actively mentors, coaches and provides guidance to engineers within CES
• Responsible for establishing/evaluating goals and objectives and performance evaluations of team members
• Help to establish a team of skilled engineers and lead execution of activities
• Assist with resource planning, prioritization of activities, and strategy definition with CES Management team
• Assess technical skill requirements and ensure that engineers can meet those requirements by creating learning opportunities
• Responsible for development of new products, and changes to existing products
• Lead projects and people to meet customer expectations
• Provide technical knowledge and expertise to the engineering team and support in resolving technical issues.
• Organize development activities in multidisciplinary projects
• Support quotation activities for new projects
• Translate customer requirements into designs, guides design decisions, recommends advanced new designs and/or process or changes to existing designs and/or process to meet requirements
• Independently resolves complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices
• Define and implement best practices within the engineering team
• Good communication skills with CES team, internal and external customers
• Advanced knowledge through extensive experience with Interior products
• Lead technical discussions with internal and external customers
• Good project management and leadership skills

Ihr Profil
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor’s degree in: Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in one of the following disciplines: software, hardware, systems, or test.
• Experience with 8 – 32-bit microcontrollers
• Basic understanding of electrical schematics
• Experience using measurement devices like multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.
• Must be willing to travel (approx. 10%) supporting internal and customer development trips.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
• Continental is not able to pay relocation expenses for this opportunity.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 7 years of engineering experience in one of the following disciplines: software, hardware, systems, or test.
