What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infrastructure Systems Lead position at Converged Security Solutions?
CSS is seeking an Infrastructure Systems Lead to support our Corporate Headquarters in Reston, VA.
This role is part of our internal IT systems team and is a hybrid role with 2-3 days a week Onsite in our Reston, VA office and occasional work in our Manassas, VA office. There is work from home flexibility 1-2 days per week.
The Infrastructure Systems Lead builds on our ongoing commitment to provide highly available, appropriately secure, easy to use solutions along with high quality customer service. Responsibilities
- Manages day to day IT infrastructure operations to ensure Service Level Agreements are consistently met and operational environment is secured according to industry best practices.
- Act a Technology Leader both as a Senior Technology resource for the organization and as mentor and leader for the other IT Staff members.
- Serves as the department expert on Azure Cloud, M365, Powershell, and Windows Server Administration/Active Directory.
- Monitors and reports KPIs for the data center, services, and networks.
- Collaborate with IT Service Desk team members to resolve issues as necessary
- Manage competing priorities while ensuring that security, availability, ease of use, and customer service objectives are met.
- Assist the VP-IT in oversight of 3rd party service providers in order to meet goals
- Identifies opportunities to leverage technology to improve corporate efficiency
- Provides direction, guidance, and training to employees in relation to systems use
- Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
- Excellent leadership, customer services, and project delivery skills
- Creates processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of systems and applications
- Executes strategic vision for IT department to achieve short-term, mid-term and long-term goals of the company.
- Fully understands, provides guidance, and administers Company policies and procedures accurately and consistently
- Supports the various compliance requirements broadly throughout the organization (i.e., ISO, CMMC, CMMI, etc.) and within the IT organization
- Establishes or upgrades IT procedures as needed while recommending changes to improve the efficiencies to minimize manual administration and workflow bottlenecks
- Reviews technology requirements for client facing systems to ensure consistency of delivery and a cohesive solution architecture
- Strong focus on cybersecurity in all actions
- Ensures smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring system performance
- Collaborates with business leaders and serve as technical lead for the planning, design, and execution of projects to enable the achievement of business objectives through the effective use of technology
- Ensures IT environment is fully documented, and documentation is kept up to date
Basic Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or 5 years of IT experience
- 4 years of experience in an IT/Infrastructure Lead role
- 1 year of experience supervising technology teams with emphasis and mentoring and training other technology team members.
- 3 years of experience in MS365, Azure, Windows Server, VMWare, Windows 10/11, MS Office
- 2 years of experience in computer systems, security, integrations, systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field;
- A strong desire to play a leadership role with the Technology Team with the ability to act as a player/coach and to be a Senior technical resource to that team.
- 6 years of experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams, and overseeing information technology projects
- 5 years of experience in MS365, Azure, Windows Server, VMWare, Windows 10/11, MS Office
- 3 years of experience in computer systems, security, integrations, systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and systems
- Possess strong ethics and the ability to maintain confidential information
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
