What are the responsibilities and job description for the Low Voltage Specialist position at Convergint Technologies?
Job Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, Fire Alarm, Special Hazards, CCTV, DDC Controls and Access Control systems in commercial, educational and industrial facilities.
- Provide support for all aspects of service including inspection, maintenance, testing, repair and programming.
- Perform routine service work and troubleshooting on Fire Alarm, Special Hazards, CCTV, Access Control systems. This includes but is not limited to replacing devices, making configuration changes, and repairing hardware.
- Running of wires, termination of devices, installation of devices and sensors, programming and any other tasks necessary to facilitate the work being performed.
- Must have basic knowledge of Fire Alarm, Special Hazards, CCTV, Access Control, PLC, and other related systems is necessary.
- Must have basic working knowledge of troubleshooting Fire Alarm. Special Hazards, Access Control, CCTV, PLC, and other low voltage systems by diagnosing problems and providing accurate solutions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with good driving record.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background, and substance abuse check.
- NICET II Certification in Fire Alarm, and/or Special Hazards, Associates degree in Electronic technology, Instrumentation, PLC or minimum of 2 years of hands on experience in the commercial/industrial/military low voltage / electrical industry.

Pay: $26.25 - $39.37 per hour
