This role will ensure HR compliance in the areas of I-9 employment eligibility verification, E-verify, background screening, clearance process, certification and credentialing. Core job duties are time sensitive and highly confidential. Along with HR Compliance responsibilities, this position will assist in general office and administrative responsibilities as assigned with heavy emphasis on ADP WorkforceNow business processes associated with employee lifecycle from new hires and onboarding to job changes and off boarding. Special projects as required by the department occur regularly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of company policies & procedures to effectively communicate guidelines when responding to daily employee inquiries
- Assist with HR compliance projects such as personnel file and benefit document audits, as well as consistent filing of personnel documentation
- Assists the Human Resources Department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance and consistency on all pre-hire clearance (background checks, pre-employment drug testing etc).
- Prepare new hire packages and conduct new employee orientations.
- Assists the recruiting team with administrative and recruiting duties.
- Assists with employee relations in Warehouse Operations
- Responsible for all direct and accurate communication to the Business Partners regarding specified clearances, certification, and credentialing.
- Responsible for compliance with all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations affecting Company.
- Responsible for tracking and maintaining all new hires in the onboarding process with proper forms needed for each specific clearance or certification requirement(s).
- Uses email communication with new hires, checklist and applicant tracking system to ensure consistency.
- Confirms required data has been added to ADP WorkforceNow to allow for expected HR start date.
- Participate in projects as required, which may include Overtime
- Maintains both hard and digital copies of employees’ records.
- Makes photocopies, faxes and emails documents, and performs other clerical functions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 3 to 5 years HR experience
- HRIS experience – ADP WorkforceNow a plus
- Must be strong in MSOffice suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint). Advanced knowledge of Excel is a huge plus
- PHR certification a plus
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for participating in quality assurance, compliance and in-service and continuing education activities as requested by Company.
- Responsible for performing other duties and responsibilities as required.
