What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager position at Cook Needham?

This role is one of the most important roles within the company as they will be coaching and developing our future leaders. The General Manager will empower and engage our team to continue providing our guests with the service and hospitality.

Ensure all team members are provided with tools, materials, and knowledge to continuously improve to insure the return of our guests.

Motivate and coordinate multiple activities and tasks for team members to ensure guest satisfaction. Ensure all Handbook policies, procedures, and standards are maintained and followed in a consistent and fair manner.

Provide team members with support and opportunity for continuous productive feedback. Ensure that all guests feel welcomed and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service. Enhance the dining experience by being always easily accessible to guests and team members. Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations are maintained. Adhere to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures.

Oversee the operation of kitchen, dining rooms, and bar to ensure maximization of profitability, minimize liability and conform to alcoholic beverage regulations and food handling safety. Adhere by all health and safety restaurant policies and procedures.

Manage all inventories as needed. Ensure that all assigned financial related administrative duties are completed accurately, within a timely manner, and in accordance with company policies and procedures. Regularly review, develop, implement, and/or evaluate all operating procedures and systems to insure relevancy, efficiency, and productivity. Create and print reports (end-of-month, inventory, payroll) regularly.

Maintain accurate employee records in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, team members and guests.

Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen, dining and storage areas are in compliance with operating standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.

Manage the ordering and delivery of food, beverage/liquor and other supplies with vendors and distributors to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained.

Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection, as well as following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs.

Review estimated costs for food and beverage to ensure proper budgeting and cost effectiveness. Fully understand and have working knowledge of the reservation system. Inform team members about Cook’s marketing, advertising, and promotional activities campaigns throughout the shifts to increase guest awareness.

Maintain communication among the team regarding any relevant information or concerns. Communicate health and/or safety concerns/violations immediately to the Senior Leadership Team. Always adhere by restaurant policies and procedures. Adhere to the restaurant guidelines of food, safety and sanitation provided by the health department. Understand all policies, procedures, and service standards of the restaurant.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
