The role:
As Procurement Manager at CookUnity, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our procurement processes. You will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services to support our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Supplier Selection and Management:
- Identify, assess, and select suppliers, vendors, and service providers.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable contracts.
- Procurement Strategy:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and budget.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Evaluate and improve supplier performance regularly.
- Cost Control:
- Monitor and control procurement costs to ensure cost-efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet operational needs.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and excess inventory.
- Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that purchased products and materials meet quality standards.
- Address quality issues with suppliers and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Contract Management:
- Create and manage supplier contracts, including terms, conditions, and performance expectations.
- Ensure contracts are up to date and adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Procurement Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage the procurement team, providing guidance, support, and training.
- Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment within the team.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate reports on procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Minimum Requirements:
- 4 years of experience in Procurement
- Bachelor’s degree or about to graduate n Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or other related Good analytical skills
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in negotiating, structuring, and successfully closing deals.
- Adept at traveling up to 50% of the time for supplier engagement, conferences, and representing CookUnity.
Preferred requirements:
- Strong organizational and communication proficiencies
- Experience in inventory and logistics management
- Experience in food procurement and extensive food knowledge
- Prior experience in high-growth food startups or food-tech companies

Salary : $80,000 - $110,000
