JOB SUMMARY
The HVAC /R Technician role is primarily responsible for performing repairs and maintenance to a variety of HVAC equipment including air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers and humidifiers, chillers, RTUs, remote condensing units, ice machines, walk-in coolers & freezers and upright refrigerators & freezers.
Requirements:

- High school diploma/GED. \n
- EPA Universal certification required. \n
- Certification from an accredited vocational-technical or trade school a plus! \n
- Minimum 3-4 years of commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience required. \n
- Experience working on refrigeration equipment in convenience stores or supermarkets a strong plus. \n
- Familiarity with single systems and rack systems along with previous work on display cases and walk-in boxes is very helpful. \n
- Must have a valid driving record and be able to work independently. \n
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. with no assistance and also be able to sit and/or stand for several hours at a time. \n
- MUST be ok with being on call, as emergency on call is a basic requirement \n
- MUST be willing to travel up to 3 hours for your calls, which is paid (portal to portal) \n
- Excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills \n
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills \n
