JOB SUMMARY
The Corporate Claims Manager provides leadership and support to Customer Support Operations, Field Operations, Human Resources, Legal, and the EHS Department. Responsible for managing worker’s compensation claims, auto claims, and general liability claims. The manager will work closely with third-party administrators (TPA) to ensure claims are managed in an expedited and financially responsible manner. The Claims Manager will assist employees with open worker’s compensation claims.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement a claim management program.
- Manage an inventory of claims. Pursue the tactful closure of worker’s compensation, auto, and general liability claims.
- Handle monetary aspects of assigned claims by establishing reserves with approval level.
- Maintain relationships with outside vendors. Ensure quality services with TPA.
- Oversee the OSHA Recordkeeping Program.
- Monitor and track motor vehicle collisions.
- Assist in management of the CoolSys Incident Reporting Protocol.
- Process subpoenas and other legal inquiries. Minimize legal exposure by securing services of outside legal counsel.
- Assist in maintaining safety records and supporting the EHS Department.
- Maintain positive relationships with business partners and employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 5-7 years of progressive worker’s compensation administration.
- Combination of large and medium company experience desired.
- BA or BS degree in Occupational Safety, Risk Management, Legal, Human Resources, or Business Administration.
- Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize work schedule and transition between projects and tasks seamlessly to meet deadlines and business needs.
- Must be able to travel overnight up to 25%.
