Job Summary:
You will play a crucial role in expanding our market presence by building strong relationships with general contractors and commercial builders. Your focus will be on the commercial and multi-family sectors. You will be responsible for promoting our extensive range of wood and plastic products, presenting tailored solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in outside sales and a deep understanding of the wood industry. We are seeking an experienced professional who understands the commercial wood industry and has a proven track record in outside sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relationship Building:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new General contractors and commercial builders.
  • Actively manage and grow existing accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Provide excellent customer service while embodying our company values.
  • Meet with customers to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote our products and build a strong professional network.
  • Product Knowledge and Support:
  • Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical information to potential clients, showcasing the benefits and features of our wood and plastic products.
  • Present accurate quotes and sales proposals to customers.
  • Sales and Account Management:
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, sales, and customer accounts.
  • Keep management informed about existing orders.
  • Monitor competition’s pricing, product offerings, and marketing efforts.
  • Ensure quotes offer value to customers while maintaining appropriate profit margins.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets in the commercial and multi-family construction sectors.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with inside sales staff, vendors, and store personnel.
  • Assist with accurate pricing, delivery, and services.
  • Provide customers with well-researched product information and specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in outside sales, Minimum of 1 year experience within the wood manufacturing or related wood industry.
  • Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in the wood industry.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and multi-family construction processes, with an emphasis on collaborating with General Contractors.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Valid Driver’s License: Required for travel within the assigned territory.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
