Job Overview:
The Senior Account Manager position is a customer interfacing member of the Cooper sales team, which will require effective collaboration to achieve yearly objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Account Manager will be responsible for the following:
Within a geographic area responsible for selling Reciprocating product(s), services, and parts
Interact with customers (current & new) to understand their business needs and goals
Communicate new Cooper innovations & technology solutions to address customer operational issues
Define sales strategy for targeted clients
Cooperates with (technical) sales support to realize sales
Other duties as assigned
Travel ~75% of the time through the Northeast Coast
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college preferred
Minimum Trade School or Military background with at least 10 years of experience in Sales
Minimum 15 years of Oil & Gas Industry experience with a focus in sales origination
Have knowledge of oilfield, production facilities, and compression operations
Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships with customers
Reciprocating compressor and engine experience
Results driven Leadership philosophy that utilizes an empowerment style to achieve innovative, continuous, and measurable results
Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
Commitment to safety, customer service quality and to work in team-oriented environment
Prior experience that demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multi-task
