Full Time, Exempt : 40 hour/week


Coordinated Care Services Inc (CCSI) is seeking an exceptional candidate for the role of Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer. As a Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer, you would be joining a supportive, innovative organization where your enthusiasm and experience would shape the organization and work culture. In your role as a Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer you will: 

Identify, develop, execute and maintain all compliance policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct. Oversee the structure and needs of the Program.

  • Ensure proper reporting to regulators and enforcement agencies as appropriate and/or required.
  • Establish and provide direction and track for trends within all compliance reporting systems including the Compliance Hotline.
  • Develop and maintain an effective investigative effort of reported compliance issues throughout the organization up to and including recommendation creation and tracking through to resolution.
  • Develop an effective compliance training program, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees, leadership, and the Board of Directors,
  • Develop, execute and monitor an internal audit process.
  • Develop, execute and monitor an external audit structure.
  • Monitor the performance of the Compliance Program and related activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness.
  • Interact with state and federal regulators as warranted.

Business Ethics: 

  • Develop and periodically review and update the agency Code of Business Ethics to ensure continuing currency and relevance in providing guidance to all workforce members, leaders, and the Board of Directors.

Risk Management: 

  • Assist in the management of all identified enterprise risk and all associated functions of the risk management process; in partnership with the virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) act as a resource and support to Leadership.
  • Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.

Privacy:

  • Evaluate CCSI’s existing policies and procedures for HIPAA, PHI, and PPI / PII compliance by performing risk assessments in partnership with the vCISO.
  • Develop and modify privacy policies and practices.

Customer Facing:

  • Act in the capacity of mentor to compliance staff in organizations contracted with CCSI.
  • Secure compliance-specific work upon request.

Requirements

 Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in corporate/organizational compliance required.
  • Master’s degree in in a relevant filed such as Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Business Ethics, Compliance, and/or Risk Management is preferred.
  • Experience working with regulators, auditors, and law enforcement.
  • Current Compliance Credentials: Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Compliance and/or CHC, CHPC certifications or comparable is strongly desired.
  • Experience with Federal and State contracting preferred.

  • Satisfactory completion of all required screenings.
