What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Procurement Manager position at Coperion (US)?
Coperion is looking for a Regional Procurement Manager to join our team in Cincinnati, OH or Wytheville, VA. As a Regional Procurement Manager you will be responsible for developing the supply chain base for the assigned region and executing project procurement in accordance with the advanced project procurement management concept.

What you’ll do:
- Modeling of optimum supply base in the region to align with strategy.
- Assess regional sourcing opportunities to identify alternative supplies in the region.
- Assess supplier capabilities and create business case for alternative supplier qualification as needed.
- Manage supplier readiness for business (qualification, contracting and onboarding).
- Apply Advanced Negotiation Concept (ANC) to select suppliers and Advanced Project Procurement Management concept as defined.
- Manage execution of Supplier auditing, qualification, and onboarding (e.g. ITPs).
- Manage supplier contracting and pricing model per defined standards and Category playbook.
- Manage regional Project Procurement per Advanced Project Procurement Management framework.
- Manage Supplier RfX and project specific negotiations.
- Monitor project execution to ensure on-time delivery.
- Other duties may be assigned
Travel: 25-30
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Strategic Buyer and/or in Site Project Procurement Management.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering or related field.

- Demonstrated experience in applying Advanced Project Procurement standard in regional projects to increase hit-rate and achieve productivity in customer projects.
- Cross-functional experience in related functions.
- Global Project Management experience.
- Experience in applying Lean methodologies.
- Dependable, honest, quick learner, good communication skills and team player
- Ability to learn new skills at a fast pace
- Basic computer skills
