Job Posting for Growth Product Manager at Copper Banking

A little about Copper Banking

Copper is a rapidly growing consumer FinTech startup whose purpose is to build the first financially successful generation. In less than a year we've amassed over 800,000 users, topped the app store charts at #16, and raised over $42M in funding from tier one investors. We are looking for an exceptional Growth Product Manager to join our product team. This role will be focused on increasing product conversion for both our parents and teens so that ultimately we can enhance our user experience.

Did you know that nearly 80% of adults in the U.S. live paycheck to paycheck? The problem starts early: there are 35 million teenagers in the U.S. that are not well-served by current banks and receive almost no financial education. For parents and teens, navigating the conversation around finances is both daunting and frustrating, making money the #1 cause of conflict between parents and teens within the home.

Copper Banking is the first of its kind, all-digital banking platform for teenagers and their parents. Copper teaches teens how to make smart financial decisions by developing patterned behaviors in a digital experience. Come join us to make a meaningful difference in people's lives!

What to expect in your role

You will be joining a small, tight-knit team that has built successful venture-backed businesses in the past, and are excited to do it again.

In this role you will work across product acquisition, activation, and adoption for both of our user audiences (parents and teens). You will translate high level optimization strategies into experimentation roadmaps - experiments that you will lead from prioritization to strategy to results and reiteration.

This role is fully remote (US only) and reports directly to the Head of Product Growth.

What you'll do

  • Partner with Data, Product and Design to deeply understand customer experience (motivations, pain points, drop-off points, etc) across parent and teen personas
  • Relentlessly brainstorm hypotheses for the next areas for growth & optimization
  • Develop and prioritize Growth experimentation roadmap that aligns with business goals and customer needs
  • Lead experiment execution end-to-end from ideation to design, execution, learning, and iteration
  • Regularly share experimentation findings, insights, and opportunities back to cross-functional teams

What your experience looks like

  • At least 3 years of Product Management experience with an emphasis on testing and responsibilities driving conversion improvements
  • Willingness and know-how to deeply understand your market, customers, and competition
  • Experience prioritizing across different initiatives to ensure we're working on high business impact experiments
  • Proven experience with experiment ideation, design, execution, learning, iteration
  • Highly collaborative – experience aligning with cross-functional teams to launch high-impact projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – ability to derive clear and concise narratives from data
  • Ability to work with full autonomy and little direct oversight
  • Detail-oriented with superior organizational skills - balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and requests should be second nature to you

Benefits & Perks

  • We offer competitive cash and equity compensation
  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • 401k with employer matching
  • Paid time off
  • Work/life balance
  • Opportunity to be a part of a brand that is creating a new standard of financial services and entering at the ground floor of a fast growing, mission-driven company

Equal Opportunity

We are an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse team. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability.
