Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $15.00 , actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
- Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.
Job Summary:
Responsible for coordinating and serving Banquet food functions, including staff and equipment, according to event orders and to the satisfaction of the guest.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Anticipate function needs per the Banquet Event Order and Execute all details with accuracy per this event order and plan accordingly to meet special requirements.
- Discuss with Chef prior to set up how the food is being displayed and provide exact chaffing needs and buffet requirements.
- Discuss with Chef any special dietary needs for the meal period per the Banquet Event Order.
- Coordinate and supervise personnel, equipment, and food and beverage to meet the specifications of the function sheets.
- Instill a sense of teamwork with your staff from start of event to end of event.
- Coaching and Training of staff always with a positive and approachable attitude and demeanor is required of all LEAD positions in this Department.
- Assign each server to stations or tasks, follow-up on all assignments.
- Oversee staff during functions to meet guests' expectations and ensure their satisfaction.
- Lead by example.
- Process paperwork to record consumption, guarantees and other personnel requirements.
- Maintain and improve service levels to achieve very good to excellent ratings on group evaluations.
- Communicate to Banquet Manager and Conference Services and other departments to solve problems and give feedback.
- Contact housekeeping or Facilities maintenance prior to set up of any housekeeping needs needing immediate attention.
- Clean and operate equipment properly.
- Communicate details with group leaders on a function-by-function basis.
- Possess an awareness of costs to include linen, food, liquor, labor, and breakage.
- Ensure that all closing/cleanup responsibilities are completed before leaving, to include security of building, floors, equipment, and personnel.

- Be sure Banquet event is ready 15 minutes prior to stated time on Banquet Event Order
- Maintain work area, keep it clean and organized
- Assist in general cleaning of the building
- Be sure Banquet event is sufficiently stocked with condiments
- Greeting and serving guests in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Use suggestive selling techniques to further sales and enhance guest enjoyment.
- Proper cash handling and cash reconciliation
- Proper sequence of service (specific to individual restaurant).
- Assists with overall restroom cleanliness and duties when needed
Administration Duties:
- Document all consumptions required, attendees and problems if they arise.
Guest Service Duties:
- Support members through teamwork and mutual respect
- Keep service & seating area clean, keep in bussed and surrounding tables
- Be sure our guests have what they need
- Clean-up as needed
- Answer inquiries from guests
- Make the guest feel welcome
- Engage in small talk

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise up to 30 servers, bartenders, stewards, setup crew. Coordinate as required to accomplish functions to satisfaction of the guest and to maintain proper setup, service and equipment levels and execution of all events per Banquet Event Order.
