Fuel Efficiency, Stocking Success by Joining Our Team
Copper State Bolt & Nut Company is seeking a Stocking Associate to join our team. You will put away in stock product received from suppliers or packaged by the packaging departments while performing warehouse duties. Forklift and handheld scanners experience a must. Fastener experience helpful. Must be able to work well within a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Put away in stock product received from suppliers or packaged by the packaging departments:
- Ensure that product is placed in warehouse locations as identified by the system or that the system is “notified” if product is placed elsewhere so that others may find the product when necessary.
- Ensure that older product is pulled forward on shelves and that newer product is placed behind it so that older material is turned through the system as quickly as possible.
Safety
- Ensure that all activities are performed in a safe manner using applicable safety equipment.
Decision/Information Sharing and Communication
- Must enter accurate data on product, quantities, locations, traceability numbers back, etc.
- Highlight discrepancies in the system regarding inventory locations or stock availability.
- Seek Supervisor assistance for products that cannot be found, are not available, etc.
- Work well with other warehouse departments, including receiving, shipping, and packaging, to ensure productive and efficient workflow in the warehouse.
- Report safety hazards to Supervisors or other Managers immediately.
Physical Requirements
- This position typically requires that the employee lift heavy items, up to or more than 50 lbs.
- This position will require that the employee stand for virtually their entire shift (8 or more hours)
- This position is performed in a warehouse protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
Certification Requirements
- Must have Forklift experience
Shift:
1st, M-F, 5:30am - 2pm
2nd, M-F, 1pm - 9:30pm
