Commodity Manager

Ocean Spray is hiring a Commodity Manager to join our Team! Position location: We're all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA or our Seaport Boston, MA location with Mondays & Fridays remote. A Day in the Life of a Commodity Manager: Build and execute procurement strategy for packaging or ingredient materials by performing rigorous, fact based analysis of sourcing options by commodity including: criticality of product to OSC; supply market complexity; cost structures and cost drivers; supply chain analysis; total system costs and other financial analysis; industry leverage points, contract negotiation; supplier management Manage the team by setting objectives/metrics for the group; tracking performance; coaching and mentoring; delivering feedback to the employee Influence decisions in other functions as they relate to total systems costs; develop and manager supplier and cross-functional relationships Manage specifications and quality through analysis and specification requirements Understand and monitor quality issues for food ingredients to maintain OSC standards and specifications What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s Degree required 5 – 7 years’ of experience purchasing packaging products in a food/beverage related industry; ingredients purchasing experience preferred Working knowledge of SAP/Oracle and MS Office (specifically Excel) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; influences and persuades others internally and externally, including senior leaders Affiliations with NAPM (National Association of Purchasing), APICS (Educational Society for Resource Management) or IFT (Institute of Food Technology) preferred Compensation/Benefits Competitive Base Salary Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance on day one Performance Bonus 401K with up to 10% in matching contributions Bright Horizons Family Solutions – Back up care, tutoring, etc. Transgender benefits Fertility benefits Tuition Reimbursement Program Paid holidays and vacation days Up to $300 Fitness Reimbursement Up to $300 Massage Reimbursement Health Resources including Free Headspace membership, 1:1 Health Coaching and more.
