At CORA Good Shepherd Mediation, we aim to encourage peace, reconciliation, and social justice by equipping communities with the tools to transform conflict and repair harm.

The Mediation Specialist will support all aspects of CORA's Good Shepherd Mediation Eviction Diversion Program. The Eviction Diversion Program provides an opportunity for landlords and tenants to resolve disputes without going to court.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Uphold the mission, vision, and values of CORA Services, which includes valuing all individuals, supporting the individual's potential for growth, and enhancing a programmatic service system approach.
• Provide pre-mediation support to landlords, tenants, mediators and Housing Counselors by:
  • Fielding calls from landlords and tenants, answering questions or providing referrals
  • Receiving, filing and coding pre-mediation agreements
  • Rescheduling mediations when requested
  • Processing cancellations when appropriate
• Assist during mediation sessions by trouble-shooting technology issues, resolving interpreter issues, locating missing participants, and acting as mediator when necessary.

• Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting other GSM programs.
