The North America IT Manager is responsible for the operation applications systems in Vancouver as well as supporting the North America (NA) commercial sites (remote) and participates in IT project initiatives related to NA region. The Manager will be accountable for ensuring that the architecture, development, design, implementation, testing, and support of these initiatives meet company business objectives. The business platform capabilities include production planning and scheduling, quality management, materials management, manufacturing execution systems, integration process management, data integration, and analytics, as interface management to a core ERP platform. The incumbent works closely with key process owners, senior leadership and all levels of business partners to ensure business outcomes are fully achieved through technology delivery and support activities. Develop good working relationships with both business and technology team members as well as the management team; coordinate IT direct report activities based in Vancouver.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive all phase of delivery and support lifecycle including requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, and support.
- Contribute to business results, maintains the organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering and supporting strategic plans in line with IT Global Operations guidelines for implementing information technologies projects.
- Proactively develop customer relationships, anticipating and providing solutions to customer needs.
- Act as an ambassador of IT strategy roadmap for Vancouver and rest of NA sites.
- Drive continuous improvements through automation, standardization, and compliance. Lead configuration, deployment of applications with a focus on quality by design and operational efficiencies. Partner with senior business leaders to identify key process optimization opportunities.

- Identify problems, evaluate trends and anticipate requirements.
- Complete projects by coordinating resources (internal and external) and timetables with key user departments and other IT competence center (i.e infrastructure).
- Develop an internal IT resource to ensure the best level of day to day support and talent development. Ensure service level support, day by day operations of the sites for Ops and as well for QA/RA/CA applications.
- Coordinate with IT infrastructure in order to ensure application project implementation and user support level. Escalation point for users of the sites for IT matters.
- Quickly learn and apply new skills and technologies (Industry 4.0/Internet of Things, Predictive Analytics, SAP S/4 Hana)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent experience in Information Technology.
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressing IT experience; 5 of which supporting manufacturing and/or operations function
- International experience preferred.
- Firm track record of successful IT project implementations with business goals achievement.
- Experience with MES systems solution (like Camstar, Siemens), PLM platform, demand planning.
- Advanced ERP systems expertise specifically for areas related to Operations, Supply chain and Quality. Preferably of SAP ERP.
- Experience in validation processes, 21 CFR Part 11.
- Significant skills and experience implementing SAP Supply Chain modules (SD, MM, PP)
- Deep insight knowledge of Operation business processes.
- IT projects implementation as well as automation projects. Implementation involving complex IT landscape.
- Project management skills/capabilities, the capability to manage project pipeline.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with excellent written and verbal communications skills.
