Program Lead, Quality Water, M&O - Education
Cordoba Corporation is seeking a Program Lead to support our Education Sector. This position supervises all areas of the construction phase on construction management projects.
Responsibilities
- Performs supervisory lead and advisory duties to lower-level program and project management staff, including providing training and guidance on daily priorities and operational tasks.
- Provides program-level oversight and controls the check and balance function for the scope, schedule, and budget of Board Members’ priority and capital improvement projects.
- Identifies project funding allocation, including appropriation for planning, design, environmental costs, testing, inspection, construction, DSA, and construction contingency.
- Reviews and approves EAC’s and impact statements (Cost and Time)
- Manages the closeout phase of the programs.
- Provides program-level reporting to Program Controls
- Coordinates and responds to BOC inquiries on existing and new projects.
- Reviews and responds to Board Members’ and other stakeholder inquiries.
- Coordinates projects with Local District Facilities Directors for execution strategies.
- Produces accurate and timely reporting of program status and updates to Executive Management staff throughout various phases of development or life cycle.
- Develops evaluation metrics to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
- Assists in formulating policies and procedures related to Facilities Programs, including developing funding policies, requests for appropriation, and alterations and improvements of new programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- This role is 100 percent onsite in Los Angeles.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
- Eight years of full-time paid professional construction program management experience, preferably for education facilities or public works projects.
- Four years of experience in managing large programs with projects with Construction values of more than $10 million.
Additional Preferred Experience:
- Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling. (BIM)
- Experience in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS)
- Experience in Formal Construction Partnering
- Experience with the Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes.
Required Education:
- Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
OR
- Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis if graduation from high school or evidence of equivalent educational proficiency is met.
- Salary Range: $115,000 to $125,000 per year.
