What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Specialist position at Core States Group?
Summary of Position:
As the IT Specialist, you will be responsible for being the first point-of-contact for end users requesting IT assistance throughout Core States Group. You will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and daily operation of network resources, providing user support, installation and troubleshooting of applications, new workstation setup and reimaging, and responding to help desk requests and activity in tracking software, including office locations.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
· Provide tier 1 and 2 IT support for inbound Help Desk requests.
· Creating and maintaining user account information in Active Directory.
· Identify, evaluate, and prioritize requests to meet or exceed staff expectations.
· Manage and maintain workstation and printer equipment at all Core States Group locations.
· Participate in building the knowledgebase to include, but not limited to, operational documentation and solutions.
· Maintain an inventory of assets and perform updates to the asset management database.
· Coordinate the onboarding and offboarding of an employee as it relates to IT (e.g., ordering equipment, license management, installations, and troubleshooting).
· Act as a shared resource for infrastructure setup and maintenance.
· Travel required based on need.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma preferred, additional education, a plus.
· 1 years of help desk, tech support, or related end user IT support experience.
Skills/Abilities:
· Basic Active Directory experience required.
· Familiarity with IT ticketing systems required.
· Familiar with Asset, Configuration and Patch Management.
· Experience with VPN configuration and troubleshooting, a plus.
· Experience with Coding/Scripting, and/or O365 administration, a plus.
· Experience with printers, conference rooms, phones and other hardware.
· Experience with MDM / RMM Solutions (e.g., Intune or similar).
· Familiarity with Okta, a plus.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
· Crawl under desks/tables and access high areas safely.
