What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities & Safety Coordinator position at Core Systems?
Description
In this role, you will oversee maintenance of the day-to-day operations of our facilities, ensuring that they are safe, functional and well maintained. You will need to be proactive and manage multiple tasks efficiently and provide support to all aspects of facilities management.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities, working with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective solutions
- Assist in managing office space logistics, including coordinating moves, setting up workspaces, and managing storage units
- Oversee access control by managing key distribution, maintaining visitor logs, and ensuring the security of sensitive areas
- Maintain accurate records of facility operations, including maintenance logs, vendor contracts, and expense tracking
- Support the procurement of supplies and services, ensuring that all orders are processed and delivered efficiently
- Provide general administrative support, including report generation, meeting setup, and responding to facility-related inquiries
- Minor building maintenance; changing light bulbs, basic carpentry, electrical, painting, and coordinating maintenance of company vehicle, oil, tires, etc.
- Participate as Safety Committee Member to assist with OSHA compliance
- Oversees and directs licensed waste disposal and monitors waste handling
- Assists with company training programs for employees in areas such as safety compliance training, hazardous material handling, emergency response, industrial hygiene and life safety
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma and minimum 3 years of directly related facilities and safety coordination experience
- Familiar with local, state, and federal safety regulations, OSHA
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lift to 40 lbs.
- Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Must be self-motivated with a team player attitude
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with others in a positive and cooperative manner

Non-Exempt Salary Details: The base pay rate for this role is between $24 to $30 per hour. The range for this position is an estimate. Actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors that are unique to each candidate including, but not limited to: skill set, depth of experience, education, and certifications.
