What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Administrator position at Corestaff Services?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Calculate regular rate of pay and apply adjustments
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
- Review and correct payroll data prior to transmitting for processing
- Audit payroll reports for accuracy before check distribution
- Prepare and issue paychecks Record changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance contributions and other deductions
- Maintain working knowledge of evolving federal, state and local wage and hour regulations
- Prepare periodic reports of earnings, taxes and deductions
- Oversee accurate and timely period, quarterly and year-end filings
- Reconcile payroll related G/L accounts
- Process garnishments
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a payroll function
- Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations pertaining to compensation
- Ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Solid math skills including ability to compute rate, commissions, ratios and percentages
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Bilingual English/Spanish desirable
