What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Hospice Residence Nights PRN position at Corewell Health?
- Exhibit “Patients and Families First” attitude. Responds with compassion, flexibility and urgency to each patient need. Provides the care that patients want, when they want it.
- Develop a comprehensive plan of care that addresses physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual needs of the patient/family with input from the patient/family and the interdisciplinary team. Evaluate this plan and makes interventions as necessary.
- Advocate for pain/symptom management.
- Educate and provide the support to patient/family regarding care issues. Committed to the continuous improvement of the patient experience which includes patient safety, quality of care and excellent service. Adheres to the organization’s Mission, Service Standards and Code of Conduct.
- Direct and supervise LPN and CENA.
- Administer and document medications/treatments as ordered by the physician according to policies in an accurate and timely manner.
- Identify and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
- Attend shift reporting and IDT meetings as necessary to facilitate communication of decisions related to the patients care.
- Required Associate's Degree or equivalent Nursing
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree Nursing
- 1 year of relevant experience experience, preferably in hospice or related field. Required
- Experience with dying patients and their families. Preferred
- LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan required And
- CRT-CPR - AHA American Heart Association required And
- CRT-ServSafe Handler - NRA National Restaurant Association 1 Year required
