Position Summary
The Academic Technology, Planning and Design team is integral to the Office of the University Registrar (OUR) and supports the mission of the office to create, maintain, and protect the academic records of current and former students. The team provides data analysis, reporting, and information support for OUR, offices across campus, and external organizations. Led by the Deputy University Registrar and Associate Registrar for Curriculum and Scheduling, the team supports conceptualizing, designing, and implementing technologies, analysis and reporting. The team will focus on business analysis, configuration, and supporting new or existing systems used by the Office of the University Registrar and offices across campus. The team participates in data and systems projects by providing business-specific knowledge and requirements, investigating data and technology solutions, participating in end-to-end testing, and leading and participating in implementations. The team frequently collaborates with staff in College Registrar offices, Bursar, Financial Aid, Admissions, Graduate School, Enrollment Compliance, Continuing Education and Summer Sessions, and Cornell Information Technology.
The person in this role must have experience manipulating data and building data sets, the ability to take initiative and a proactive approach to tasks and projects, and a strong commitment to understanding and improving outcomes for students, faculty and staff from across campus. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years relevant experience or equivalent combination.
Provide support and guidance for users to resolve moderate to complex data or business issues. Users include staff in OUR and student service offices across campus (such as College Registrar Offices), Bursar, Financial Aid, Admissions, Graduate School, and Continuing Education and Summer Sessions, Enrollment Compliance, and Cornell University Information Technology. Provide problem and issue resolution for reporting and analysis projects, PeopleSoft Student Records, Degree Audit, Curriculum Life Cycle, and systems such as ImageNow and ID Card integration, and workflow-based forms.
