What are the responsibilities and job description for the PM Cashier position at Corner Cafe?
There has always been a small restaurant at the “Corner” in Riverside, Missouri. Enter Ed & Kathi Rule. They had never been in the restaurant business before, but they always felt they knew what good food was all about. It began on May 15, 1983, when they opened a little 40-seat cafe that served breakfast and lunch. The CORNER CAFE was born. Expansions and new buildings have been built, but we continue the traditions that started back in 1983. We strive to provide the best products, the best service, and the best value in an atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re part of the family. The Independence location opened in 2008.
This is a tipped position. For those guests ordering curbside, carryout or walking in to pick up items, our cashiers create an efficient way to enjoy our food on the go. Helping guests to order their favorite menu items, packaging them for travel and putting together the little extras are where our cashiers shine.
Job Duties
- Welcome customers and help determine their orders.
- Efficiently manage curbside, pickup and delivery orders
- Answer incoming telephone calls in a prompt and efficient manner
- Monitor incoming online orders and delivery orders
- Ensure all items from order are included
- Demonstrate accurate cash handling.
- Place food orders in the appropriate bags and boxes.
- Respond to customer inquiries.
