Culinary/Dietary Aide
Job Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for dining room meal service to residents. The Culinary/Dietary Aide performs designated work and cleaning routines for the Dietary Department and is accountable to the Culinary Supervisor and Community Director.
Responsibilities:
- Place items such as eating utensils, napkins and condiments on the tables
- Prepares beverages and sets them on tables
- Serves meals
- Washes dishes and cleans the work area, tables, cabinets, dishwasher and ovens.
- Sweep and mops the floors
- Collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers and takes it out to the dumpster.
- Other duties as assigned
- Follow Meal serving schedule and procedures
- Offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs
- Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
- Ability to follow food service and cleaning procedures
- Ability to understand and follow sanitation procedures
- Ability to use food preparation and serving tools safely and effectively.
- Provide kitchen support when required
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Knowledge of food safety and food preparation.
- High School diploma/ GED or one to three months of related experience.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English

- Outstanding communication skills

- Ability to Prioritize.
- Ability to handle fast paced environment
- Food safety knowledge
Physical Requirements:
- Stand, sit and walk for long periods of time.
- Full ranges of motion to climb, balance, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Occasionally lift/or move up to 25 pounds

Salary : $26,800 - $33,900
