Job Title:
Payroll Administrator

Reports to: A/P and Payroll Manager

Classification: Non Exempt Department: Finance

Hours: Full time


General Objectives:
Process payroll functions in accordance with company policy.


Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to process payroll in a timely manner
  • Have strong analytical and communication skills
  • Knowledge of payroll and general accounting


Duties

  • Prepare and process bi-weekly and bi-monthly payroll in an efficient, accurate and timely manner
  • Timecard collection, calculation of hours, confirmation and data entry of timecards. Reconcile

timecard batches and make appropriate corrections.

  • At the request of management, perform consistent accurate audits on employee payroll records and employee payroll tax records to ensure accuracy and compliance with both state and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate preparation of W-2’s, 1099’s, workers compensation audits and support year-end audit.
  • Update changes to employee records into the payroll system including regularly auditing data for accuracy and completion.
  • Run and file all payroll related reports by deadlines provided by management.
  • Communicate with Plexus staff at all levels of the organization to respond to payroll questions from employees and managers.
  • Process employee advances, expense reports and deductions.
  • Process electronic bank payments.
  • Balance payroll by auditing information; identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Support HR team as required


Educational/Experience Requirements


  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now required
  • Knowledge of Paycom desired
  • Expertise in federal and state payroll regulations and requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills
  • 2-4 years of payroll experience

Salary : $49,900 - $63,200
