The Corporate Strategy & Development (“CS&D”) group is responsible for shaping the future strategic direction of the company in addition to identifying and vetting potential M&A targets for the company. CS&D reports directly to RTX’s President & CEO and the team serves as advisors to senior leadership on the highest value issues and opportunities facing the company.
This position will be responsible for supporting a wide range of M&A and strategy projects. The candidate must be a highly analytical, structured thinker and must have the ability to take initiative, set strategic priorities, take ownership of assigned projects/tasks and independently drive for results.
The role requires the ability to:
Contribute to acquisitions, divestitures, other financial transactions and strategic opportunities by assisting with financial modeling, presentation development and due diligence execution
Monitor and evaluate acquisition targets and key peers including tracking recent events, analyzing financial statements and preparing earnings summaries
Support portfolio analysis, which involves assessing capabilities and financial metrics against strategy and market opportunities
Assist in the preparation of senior-level briefings, which involves summarizing and communicating insights at the right level from detailed analyses
Balance multiple projects while providing clear thinking and excellent attention to detail in a dynamic work environment
Build productive relationships with RTX business units including their respective finance and strategy functions to understand their businesses and strategic objectives
