Job Description

The Raytheon Enterprise Services Controller Organization has an exciting opportunity for a detail oriented and enterprising professional to join the Labor/Payroll Accounting Team in its mission to ensure that Raytheon Technologies’ financial reporting is timely, accurate and reliable.

The ES Controller organization has the overall responsibility for protecting the assets controlled by the Enterprise Services group, and for ensuring the accuracy of the reported financial results and transactions, and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley section 404.

This is a highly visible position that will be responsible for labor/payroll accounting support for the entire RTX enterprise both domestic and international. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to work with all Businesses, multiple functions, and multiple levels of management. Responsibilities will include all aspects of Payroll accounting including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, financial reporting, audit support, analysis, etc. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work with detailed data, complex problem-solving skills, creativity, and effective time and resource management skills. This is a critical and challenging role with excellent opportunity for growth.

Responsibilities include:

• Analyze Time and Attendance Data to help resolve Labor/Payroll variances related to rates and hours differences
• Payroll Payable Analysis to include International Payroll
• Research, evaluate and ensure payroll issues and discrepancies are resolved in a proper and timely manner
• Supporting the reconciliation activities and close processes of the ES Labor/Payroll Accounting Team

o General Ledger accounting entries

• Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Data analysis and related corrective action associated with the accounting activities above

• PwC, DCAA, and Internal Audit Support, as needed
• Additional tasks include financial reporting, and ad hoc projects providing exposure to Payroll, Corporate Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Business Accounting, Human Resources, SAP Competency Center, Conduent, etc.
• Assist with specific performance-improvement projects and other special projects
• Exposure to and possible involvement in supporting multiple areas of ES Finance including Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, Payroll, Timekeeping, Sales, Use, & Property Tax, Global Disbursements, Contracts to Cash, etc.
• Possibilities of role expansion and rotational opportunities in all accounting areas of the broader ES General Accounting team.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Confidence with the ability to make sound decisions and the capacity to sift through complex information to focus on the critical priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications

Desired Skills:

• Prior experience or knowledge of SAP or other major ERP system
• ADP Payroll System experience is a plus
• Previous Raytheon Finance, Payroll or Timekeeping experience is a plus

Required Education & Experience:

• This role typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or applicable discipline and 5 or more years of professional applicable experience, or 3 years’ experience and a Masters’ degree.

• This position requires access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US Citizenship
