What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Accountant position at Corporate Living?
Main Job Function
This position reports directly to the Controller, is centered around assisting the Controller with all day-to-day accounting functions, and plays an integral part in month-end closing processes. The Lead Accountant will provide continuous accounting support to all Corporate Living leasing administrators, sales personnel, and management.
Essential Functions
· Perform recurring procedures for the month-end close process, including performing financial calculations/analysis and account reconciliation, preparing and posting journal entries, and preparing financial reports.
· Demonstrate ability to handle multiple high priority tasks, work within deadlines, and have a strong sense of urgency.
· Responsible for all hotel accounting and occupancy reporting.
· Perform collections activities on past due accounts, including communicating effectively with customers and vendors to resolve past due balances.
· Perform Microsoft Excel analysis to respond to ad hoc requests from management.
· Effectively and efficiently liaise with CL employees and domestic & international property managers, clients, consultants, and residents to provide accurate details for temporary housing purchasers.
· Be available for occasional “on-call” after-hours guest service support
Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
· Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
· Strong knowledge of GAAP
· Problem-solving skills with research and analytic ability
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Experience in Corporate Housing / Mobility preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
