This is a FULLTIME opening.
This job is 80% gathering data requirements/ or questioning existing requirements, SQL/T-SQL interrogation of data, analysis for poss. data issues, then creating extracts (using TSQL/SQL) and exporting data into CSV or Excel formats. Future growth potential long-term will involve Data Quality, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS/ ETL, ODS/DW and Power BI.
Looking for a Mid-level Data Analyst or Jr. T-SQL Developer who will be extracting data from an ODS/DW from SQL Server 50%. It will be their primary responsibility to pull data using SQL Server into csv or MS Excel files. They will be running processes, maintaining existing processes, and troubleshooting any issues with the data. They need attention to detail, using SQL to either extract data, wrangle data, or perform ad-hoc reporting. Merges or reassigns duplicate or unique identifier mistakes.
Must be able to Triage, identify, and fix mistakes. T-SQL and SSMS skills to export data to CSV, ETL using SSIS and creating Packages, and Power BI are huge pluses but will not be doing it initially. Other 50% is gathering, reviewing data requirements, and fixing/improving processes from internal product managers. They will have no direct client contact (NJ DOE…NCLB) but rely on interactions with Internal Business SME’s.
They prefer a candidate who is outgoing, will ask questions, work well within a team and be collaborative, open to learning, share knowledge, and openly communicates/takes ownership.
Salary : $90,000 - $95,000
