Position Purpose: Manage a team of 5 Curriculum Designers. Identify training needs to enhance performance, quality and motivation of corporate and field staff for the Provider Data Management department. Develop, conduct, and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
***This position is fully remote. Candidates will be considered nationally***
Responsibilities:
Manages the performance and output of the team and mentors staff.
Develop strategy to accomplish department goals and increase training program's success.
Manages the activities related to various training and educational programs for PDE and Claims Configuration departments.
Assesses and identifies individual or group training needs.
Prepares a variety of training aids and materials.
Determines appropriateness of contracting with outside vendors to accomplish organization's training goals and objectives.
Analyzes training program effectiveness and submits reports and recommendations to management.
Prepares and approves budgets and travel plans.
Ensures both training and quality programs are continually enhanced to meet the evolving needs of the business.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience. 5 years of training experience within the hiring departments function, preferably in a managed care/insurance environment. Familiarity with computer based training tools, vendors and other technology based training platforms. Knowledge of training methodologies, adult learning styles, and evaluative methodologies in measuring impact on organization and ROI of training expenditures. Previous experience as a lead in a functional area, managing cross functional teams on large scale projects or supervisory experience including hiring, training, assigning work and managing the performance of staff.
Contracting: Thorough knowledge of negotiation, contracting processes and methodologies, provider customer service and marketing. Familiarity with managed care, State and/or Federal health care programs (i.e., Medicaid, Medicare) and the insurance industry. Familiarity with Centene’s software applications related to contracting preferred .
Medical Management: Thorough knowledge of quality improvement practices, utilization and case management processes/outcomes. Familiarity of medical information systems, medical claims payment process, medical terminology and coding. Knowledge of case management practices, managed care, Medicare and Medicaid programs. Familiarity of National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA) accreditation process and standards. Certification in Utilization Management or Case Management preferred.
Customer Service: Thorough knowledge of customer relationship management software, call center operations and service skills. Familiarity with managed care, State and/or Federal health care programs (i.e., Medicaid, Medicare) and the insurance industry preferred.
Corporate Enrollment & Billing:
5 years of training and/or quality assurance experience. Experience in a managed care/insurance environment preferred. Familiarity of inter-dependencies within training and quality programs, proven track record of process and metric improvement.
