The Senior Manager, Data Strategy and Management is a member of the Global Data Strategy, Activation & Operations team and an integral part of Marriott’s CLV (Customer Experience, Loyalty & Ventures) organization. This position will be a technical and subject matter expert in Marriott’s Loyalty Partnerships data domain focused on liaising with strategic business partners and enabling data to incubate and advance several lines of partnered business including retail, trip insurance, airlines, rideshares, tours & activities etc. This is an individual contributor role that entails hands-on data analysis & engineering skills to develop a bidirectional data exchange framework with partners to enable joint marketing and reporting needs. The Senior Manager will also interact with internal stakeholders on data integration & provide technical support to large-scale Marriott reporting and operational projects; implement system and business process changes to improve data quality; and support departmental initiatives in the areas of data governance, data management, and analytics. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for contributing to the development of our cloud data platform by setting requirements and consulting on future platform initiatives.
We are looking for a driven individual with strong consulting skills, a SQL programming background to manage robust data pipelines and experience with cloud computing & modern data warehousing environments. This hybrid technical management role will include collaborating with business disciplines, IT and external 3rd parties to bring in new data engineering technologies, build and manage data processing frameworks, and help deploy analytics reports & models to production.
