The Role
Our Brand Protection Intelligence Department is looking for a new colleague. Every day, tens of thousands of counterfeit products are placed for sale on the internet. Our company has developed an advanced software solution that allows our brand protection team to easily detect and act against online IP infringements. Together with the brand protection team, you will be responsible to make sure these illegal activities are stopped.
The Intelligence Team Lead would be responsible for assisting in the management of a small international team of Intelligence Analysts for a dedicated client account to ensure the efficient and strategic delivery of investigative targets and deliverables. This position would entail the ability to collect, collate, research and analyze data from a diverse range of sources, including Corsearch's own systems, to produce high-quality, timely, relevant and actionable intelligence, information and research products. The ideal candidate would be comfortable conducting and managing multiple open-source intelligence (OSINT) investigation cases, as well as undertaking additional projects on behalf of Corsearch clients or internal stakeholders as needed.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and manage client relationships to ensure investigative priorities and strategies are aligned and that all enquiries are dealt with by the appropriate person in a timely manner with ongoing communication, from target identification to completed investigation
- Develop, oversee, and improve workflows/best practices to track and increase team efficiency, as well as to identify and resolve points of failure, reporting directly to the Team Manager
- Aid the Team Manager in developing client specific intelligence strategies for the greatest impact catered to their priorities
- Coordinate between clients, colleagues, and subordinates to guarantee the efficient fulfilment of client requests and share both internal and external feedback for continued improvement opportunities
- Perform online investigations to determine the size and scope of a person of interest's online activity (e.g. websites, social media profiles, marketplace platforms, forms, chat groups, etc.) and discover actionable intelligence that will support offline investigations and potential litigation actions
- Establish and maintain covert identities used for Human Intelligence (HUMINT) gathering as part of the investigative process
- Write investigative and intelligence reports outlining the steps taken, data sources reviewed, and the conclusions gleaned from the OSINT investigation which are easy to understand that can be delivered to various levels of an organization
- Keep knowledge current by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications and online resources and maintaining personal networks
- Provide statistics and other management information, including material for sales and marketing purposes;
- Protect company assets by keeping information confidential
- Undertake other reasonable tasks as directed and necessary for the running of the company
Your Qualifications/Experience
- Professional experience in an analytical or research role
- Professional experience in a team management role
- Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) experience must be demonstrated with knowledge and skill sufficient to plan and conduct investigations of cybercrime matters
- Ability to write and deliver reports and presentations to a high standard with the ability to assess, aggregate and analyze data from a variety of sources and present findings in a clear and understandable way
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products and various internet technologies
- You are detail-oriented and value accuracy with the highest levels of integrity in order to handle sensitive/confidential information appropriately
- You have excellent interpersonal, facilitative and negotiation skills
- You are energetic, flexible, and have an entrepreneurial spirit
- You are a fast learner with an efficient way of working both autonomously and collaboratively
