What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deputy Auditor position at Corson County?
Deputy Auitor (Not a Job within the Sheriff's Office)
Pay $18-$20/hr DOQ
The Deputy Auditor works under the direct supervision of the County Auditor.
Duties include but are not limited to: preparing monthly bills; preparing payroll twice a month; keeping track of employees vacation and sick leave; preparing monthly poor liens and court appointed attorney liens to be filed in Register of Deeds Office; apportioning tax dollars to schools, cities, and townships; processing voter registrations and running all county and state elections; balancing with Treasurer monthly and preparing financial statements; updating all budget books and records at the end of each month; assisting Auditor in preparing for monthly Commissioner meetings; assisting Auditor in preparing levies and budgets for following year; printing tax books for treasurer; answering the phone; and filing.
Computer experience and general accounting skills are required. Must be able to work with the public.
