Overview
CORT Tradeshow and Events is hiring immediately for a full-time Warehouse Supervisor in Hanover, MD!
CORT Events provides furniture rental solutions to trade shows and events including festivals, weddings, corporate events, or even the Superbowl! The Warehouse Supervisor leads the warehouse team with a focus on shipping, receiving, loading, unloading, staging, cleaning, repair, and inventory.
Pay: Starting at $23 / hour.
Schedule: Schedule will vary based on the needs of the business, weekends are required

Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor safety activities to ensure compliance with company and state regulations and safety/health standards
- Maintain work and production schedules
- Controls inventory to ensure the integrity of computerized inventory database daily; completes monthly inventory control counts in the warehouse
- Maintains a culture where everyone in the facility is knowledgeable of safe work practices and committed to following safe work practices.
- Regularly moves trucks from dock to dock on the premises and may assist with deliveries offsite as needed
- Oversees loading, unloading, staging, cleaning and repair of furniture products
- Manages warehouse projects
- Hire, train, coach and mentor warehouse employees
Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- 1-3 years previous warehouse, inventory, shipping & receiving experience
- Previous warehouse management experience with people and budgets
- Physically able and willing to move furniture; ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Able to operate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and stand-up reach trucks (previous experience is a plus)
- Must have valid state driver’s license and safe driving record
- 6 months or more experience driving a 15 foot or larger vehicle
- Must pass background checks and drug screening as a condition of employment. CORT also participates in the E-Verify program
