Corteva has an exciting opportunity for a Chemical Clerk to join our team at our Indianapolis, IN headquarters location.
Under the supervision of the R&D Services Leader, the incumbent will provide daily service support to the various buildings within the Indianapolis campus. This department provides a wide range of tasks including but not limited to chemical and consumable supply management, material movement throughout the site, glassware washing, gas cylinder and cryogenic liquid deliveries.

This positions is required to work in office 5 days a week.
What You'll Do:
- Daily package receiving, sorting and delivery.
- Occasional electric pallet jack and/or forklift operation.
- Chemical barcoding, tracking and inventory reconciliation.
- Stocking chemical and consumable items throughout site.
- Monitor and proactively replace gas cylinders on various manifolds.
- Other daily tasks as requested by R&D Services customers.
- As a team member, incumbent will be expected to learn and provide backup support for all services provided.
- Utilize chemical tracking software to maintain chemical inventory accuracy.
- Perform yearly chemical reconciliations to update inventory records.
- Monitor various chemical safety lists assuring proper storage classification.
Qualifications
What Skills You Need:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of chemical hazards and the proper handling of chemicals preferred.
- Ability to operate electric pallet jack and motorized forklift (training provided).
- Self-motivation and ability to work with minimum of direct supervision.
- Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
- Ability to plan, prioritize and execute multiple concurrent activities and deliver on commitments under tight time constraints.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- English fluency, speaking and writing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.
- Focused on delivering quality results, attention to detail & organizational skills required.
- Sound interpersonal skills, confidence, and ability to form good working relationships and negotiate effectively with internal and external contacts.
