Corteva Agriscience has an exciting new opportunity in the Predictive Safety Center (PSC) within Regulatory Sciences for an Ecotoxicology Biologist. This lab-based role will support the development, implementation and conduct of high-throughput ecotoxicological assays to assess the safety of discovery-phase new active ingredients and agricultural products. This position is located in Indianapolis, IN.

The successful candidate will serve as an Ecotoxicology Biologist with laboratory responsibilities supporting the screening of new active ingredients and products in the discovery phase; this includes:
- Conducting regularly scheduled ecotoxicological testing assays to generate data that supports ecotox risk assessments.
- Troubleshooting assays and instruments to minimize the disruption of lab workflow.
- Working under the guidance of internal ecotoxicologists to develop high-throughput ecotoxicological testing assays to screen for toxicity with non-target organisms.
- Validating and implementing the developed assays for testing with discovery-phase new actives and formulations.
- Analyzing data with attention to detail and contributing to QA/QC, and clearly communicating results in both written and oral format.
- Bringing innovative ideas to increase the efficiency and productivity of ecotox lab activities.
Qualifications
Requirements:

- Minimum of a high school diploma/GED
- Demonstrated competency in laboratory-based ecotoxicity studies or other relevant biological work with enough attention to detail to follow a standard protocol.
- Demonstrated capabilities of critical thinking, troubleshooting and multi-tasking.
- Keen interest in working in a dynamic, exciting industry and applying scientific information for protection of human and environmental health.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or BS degree in environmental toxicology or related biological or chemistry discipline.
- Experience with testing on bees, aquatic plants, terrestrial or aquatic invertebrates, and/or fish is strongly preferred.
- Experience with automation workflow, instruments, and analytical chemistry skill is a plus.
